Lotte Mart to build shopping center in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received Friday afternoon Mr. Hong Pyong Gyu, General Director of Lotte Vietnam Shopping Co., a unit of Lotte Mart.

At the meeting with the provincial leader, Mr. Hong Pyong Gyu said that Lotte Mart will open its third shopping center in Dong Nai. The Lotte Mart in Dong Nai will be located at Amata Trade Center with 8,300 square meters and an estimated capital of US$30 million – US$40 million. So far, Lotte Mart has opened two new stores in Ho Chi Minh city.

Lotte Mart is South Korea’s leading department store operator with 183 stores worldwide. Lotte Mart is expected to expand its retail centers in Vietnam to up to 30 by 2018. Lotte plans to pour some US$5 billion into 30 department stores in Ho Chi Minh city, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Can Tho and Hai Phong.
