First vegetable cooperative in Dong Nai granted VietGAP certificate

(ĐN)- Trang Dai safe vegetable cooperative has recently received the Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practice (VietGAP) certificate for its 6 hectares of vegetable in Bien Hoa city’s Trang Dai ward, becoming the first vegetable cooperative in Dong Nai to be awarded the certificate.

6 ha of vegetable in Trang Dai cooperative have been grown under VietGap standards

Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc, head of the cooperative, said to have six hectares of vegetables grown according to VietGAP standards, his cooperative had to spend two years to apply strict standards.

VietGAP is based on the ASEAN GAP model but it is designed to meet the specific needs of the Vietnamese fresh fruit and vegetables industry.

So far, Dong Nai has invested more than VND10 billion in safe vegetables production project.
