(ĐN) - On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8), a ceremony was held on March 6 at My Dinh National Convention Centre to present the Golden Rose Award 2010 to 100 female entrepreneurs for their excellent achievements in production and business and their contributions to socio-economic development that help accelerate the national industrialisation and modernisation. The ceremony was attended by State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Party and State leaders, representatives from ministries and businesswomen.

| Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Hong receives Golden Rose Award |
Chairwoman and general director of Donataba, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Hong, is the only businesswoman in Dong Nai receiving the award. In 2009, although facing difficulties due to the impacts of the global economic recession, Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Donataba) has managed to generate approximately VND6,300 billion in revenues and contribute more than VND1,000 billion to state budget.
The Golden Rose Award is an annual laureate granted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council and the Vietnam Womens Union (VWU). The Award is not only an ordinary award but also encourages and supports the entrepreneurship of women to play in all circumstances. The qualifying criteria are built on two main groups: corporate achievements and individual achievements. Each criteria group has specific requirements reflecting their contributions to the economy and society.
