Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, CEO of Amata Corporation Public Company Limited, has been ranked
Thailands 34th richest person with a net worth estimated at US$145 million. He has been listed by Forbes magazine as one of the most 48 kind-hearted millionaires in Asia.
Mr. Vikrom Kromadit told that he paid a first visit to Vietnam in 1991. During his visit to the country, he saw Vietnam as an attractive investment destination. After that, he has made many visits to provinces and cities around the country. Finally, he decided to invest in Dong Nai. The Amata Vietnam Joint Venture Company was established in December 1994 with a total chartered capital of US$17 million, of which, 70% came from Bangpakong Industrial Park 2 Company Limited (Thailand) ($12 million) and the remaining 30% from Corporation for the Development of Industrial Zones (Sonadezi). The company has invested to construct the Amata Industrial Park in Bien Hoa city’s Long Binh ward. The Amata Industrial Park was opened a year later, on December 2, 1995. And then, the company re-registered to be a two-member limited liability company named Amata (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. on May 7, 2007 and the Amata Joint-stock Company on April 29, 2009. The company has raised its chartered capital from US$ 17 million to US$20.4 million and it is scheduled to get on the board of the HCM Stock Exchange by the end of the first quarter of 2010.
From the inception, the companys objective was to develop a Perfect City - where industrial development matches with living environment, and industrial service matches with commercial services. Up to present, the company has achieved a number of successes in industrial park development and the Amata has become a modern, clean, green industrial park in Dong Nai province, particularly, and in Vietnam ,generally. With international-standard, modern and complete infrastructure and professional services, the Amata Industrial Park is always one of the top choices of foreign investors in Vietnam.

Amata IP has so far lured 110 projects worth a total of over $1.4 billion, creating jobs for 24,000 laborers living in Dong Nai and nearby provinces. To mark its 15th founding anniversary, Amata Vietnam Company held a ground breaking ceremony for a US$17 million Amata Commercial Complex project on a site of nearly 20 hectares right in front of the expanded Amata Industry Park on December 11, 2009. Mr. Vikrom Kromadit who has given strong support to Amata Vietnam for the last 15 years said that he wanted to invest in building a high-tech city in Long Thanh district and hoped to invite international partners to participate in this project. He also expressed his desire to establish the new city as one of the most modern, high tech locations in the world. He expected to live to witness the completion of this new city.
