Dong Nai’s key traffic projects in 2010

(ĐN)- In the recent years, Dong Nai is also facing an excess of all kinds of vehicles; to curb traffic congestion, the province has mobilized capital inside and outside the country in different forms to build a number of important traffic projects such as the bridge connecting District 9 (HCM city) and Nhon Trach district, HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway, new Dong Nai bridge, Hoa An bridge, Dau Giay-Da Lat expressway, National Highway No 51 expansion project,etc.

The projects also included the construction of an over fly on the National Highway 1A and roads in Tan Van area, construction of tunnels and branch roads at Vung Tau T junction.

New Dong Nai bridge opened to traffic on Dec. 31

New Dong Nai bridge to link Dong Nai province and HCM city was officially opened to traffic on Dec 31 after more than 18 months of construction. It is an important project that will help streamline traffic at the eastern gateway of HCM City. In 2010, the province will speed up construction of roundabouts at two ends of the bridge, the Vung Tau T-Intersection and Tan Van.

The VND18,884 billion project is expected to help boost growth of the southern key economic triangle that combines Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

Ground-breaking ceremony of HCM city-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway project

This year, Dong Nai will continue to give top priority to National Highway No 51 expansion project with a total investment of nearly VND2 tril, Dau Giay-Da Lat expressway, and VND19 tril HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway project which is expected to help boost growth of the southern key economic triangle that combines Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

Traffic plays an important role in the socio-economic development. Therefore, Dong Nai will do its best to speed up the construction of key traffic project to meet travel demand of the people as well as local economic development.
