Southern Vietnam opens massive LPG warehouse

The largest liquefied gas store house in southern Vietnam has opened late last week in Dong Nai Province.

The largest liquefied gas store house in southern Vietnam has opened late last week in Dong Nai Province. 

The Go Dau liquefied gas store house cost VND196 billion (US$10.6 million) to build and will store more than 100,000 tons of liquefied petrol gas every year.

The 4,000-ton warehouse will receive liquefied gas processed at the Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai and the Dinh Co Gas Treatment Plant in the southern coastal province Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The refinery’s are connected to the warehouse via pipeline and the nearby Go Dau A port can receive boats carrying up to 10,000 tons.

The warehouse, invested in by the south’s major liquefied trading company PV Gas South, aims to stabilize LPG’s market prices.

Work on the warehouse started around 18 months ago at Go Dau A Port, Phuoc Thai Commune, Long Thanh District, not far from Ho Chi Minh City.
