(ĐN)- Director of Dong Nai branch of the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) Nguyen Huu Tham said that VDB agreed to fund some projects in Dong Nai province. These projects included a VND 2,5 trillion Agro Park project invested by joint venture between the Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Donataba) and leading French food processor Groupe Glon, a VND 525 billion Thien Tan 2 Water Supply Plant project. In addition, other projects such as the Domitory Project of Lac Hong University, the Hoa An Water Supply Plant and investing in medical equipment for the Dong Nai Children’s Hospital are currently under consideration to fund by VDB.
So far, VDB has agreed to lend Donataba about VND 750 billion for implementing Agro Park project which will cover 2,240 hectares in Thong Nhat and Xuan Loc districts. The park is expected attract investments in the agriculture and agro-processing. It will provide jobs and help develop pig farming and the growth of vegetables, ultimately playing a role in the province’s social and economic development and helping reduce poverty. Besides, the bank also decided to lend 100 per cent of the cost of Thien Tan 2 Water Supply Plant project to the investor.
