(ĐN)- There are more than 1,000 pig farms in Dong Nai province with over 500,000 heads of pig, the Dong Nai Provincial Veterinary Department reported. The farms are mainly located in districts of Thong Nhat, Trang Bom, Long Thanh and Long Khanh town. Most of pig farms have adopted preventive measures against epidemics. Using the safe farming model brings farmers a lot of benefits, like money due to cutting costs. Pigs raised in farms are sold higher than those raised the traditional, free-range way.
