(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee yesterday granted investment licenses for six projects worth a total of $1.3 billion from local and foreign investors.

The projects include Phuoc An port project worth $1.1 billion in Nhon Trach district invested by Phuoc An Port Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, Saigon Newport Company‘s inland clearance depot (ICD) project in Long Binh ward, Bien Hoa city with a total investment of $11 million, a $50 million complex building project invested by Singapore’s Haiyatt Holding Company, a $40 million chemical production project invested by Thailand’s Top Solvent Company, a $40 million roofing sheet project of Phuong Nam Metal Roofing Nam joint venture company, which includes partners from Malaysia and Japan. In addition, Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Co., Ltd was also licensed to raise additional capital of $64 million to expand its operation.

On this occasion, four investors of newly-licensed projects donated over VND 500 million to Fund for the Poor and the gratitude fund of Dong Nai province.

At the award ceremony, the provincial’s vice chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said that the province would continue to speed up administrative reform, go side by side with businesses to make it an attractive destination for investors.
