Although facing difficulties due to the impacts of the global economic recession, the bureau has made many efforts to fulfill its targets set for 2009.
Dong Nai Taxation Bureau reported that about VND 3.94 trillion of tax was collected in the first six months, representing 54 percent of the year’s plan, an 8 percent year-on-year rise. Of which, the tax collection from central state-owned enterprises rose by 28.5 percent to VND449 bil, from local state-owned enterprises increased 32 percent to VND680 bil, from foreign invested enterprises grew by 23 percent to VND1,248 bil, while collection from individual income tax dropped 32 percent, land use right transfer tax slumped 39 percent and registration fees fell 14 percent.
Vinh Cuu district posted the highest in tax collection in first half, achieved 96 percent of the year’s target, Thong Nhat district reached 66%, Xuan Loc district, 62%, Long Khanh town, 57%.
In the remaining six months of the year, the bureau will continue to make measures to encourage local enterprises to declare and pay tax in full and on time, strive to collect VND7.25 trillion of tax in 2009.
