Dong Nai to focus on growth of key service industries

Meeting is held on Wednesday to review the growth of service sector in the six month of 2009.

(ĐN)- In Dong Nai, the total GDP value for the service sector reached more than VND 3.6 thousand billion Vietnam dongs in the first half of this year or 45 per cent of what is expected this year and an increase of nearly 9 per cent over the same period of last year. The information was released by Dinh Quoc Thai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and  Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for development of services sector at a meeting on Wednesday to review the growth of service sector in the six month of 2009. However, this rate of growth was lower than that recorded in the same period in previous years, when it was 17% in 2008 and over 15% in 2007. Thai said despite the decline in the growth rate, service sector remains largest contributor to the provinces economic growth. The province in the remaining months of this year will focus on the growth of key service industries including trade, port and logistics, real estate, health care, finance and banking ….
