(ĐN)- Dong Nai has attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows of $34.5million from the beginning of this year until now. Of the total, over $14 million came from 5 newly-licensed projects and the remainder came from 8 capital-added projects. The figure represented nearly 3.5 per cent of the year’s target, down 92 per cent on the corresponding period last year.
Besides, the province also licensed 1 new domestic projects with total investment capital of VND 30 billion and one expanded projects worth VND13 billion.
FDI inflows into the province is estimated to reach around $50 million in the first half of this year and close to $200 million in the whole of the year.
Dong Nai is so far home to 800 licensed FDI projects by investors from 34 countries and territories around the world with a total registered capital of more than $11.3 billion and 274 domestic projects capitalized at VND24,669 billion.
