On this occasion, the bank handed VND100 million to the provincial Fatherland Front Committee to build charity houses for poor households.

So far, the SCB has reached a capital mobilization of VND34,400 billion, a 51 percent year-on-year rise, debit balance of VND23,300 billion. In 2008, the bank reported a pre-tax profit of up to 646 billion. Presently, SCB is one of the 10 biggest commercial banks in Vietnam
