(ĐN)- Although facing many difficulties because of inflation, high input material prices and bank interest rate, Dong Tien Garment Company (Dovitec) has achieved positive results in the past nine months. Accordingly, Dovitec reached over VND230.8 billion in turnover for the first nine months, exceeding the year’s target of VND7 billion and increasing 11 percent compared to 2007. It also earned a before-tax profit of VND15 billion, nearly doubling last year’s figure and 100 percent higher than the set target for 2008. Especially, monthly average salary of each worker in the company reaches VND2.3 million, 10 percent higher than the planned figure, up 23 percent against last year.
From the beginning of the year till now, Dong Tien contributed VND2.3 billion to state budget, an increase of more than 10 percent over previous year. Besides, the company donated VND1.4 billion for the province’s social and charitable activities, and actively responded to the movement “Paying debts of gratitude”.
