Thanh Son commune’s mandarin orange to be sold at wholesale markets in Ho Chi Minh city

(ĐN)- Chairman of Thanh Son commune’s High-Productivity Club Nguyen Long Sang released that his club has signed a supply contract with traders at wholesale markets of Thu Duc and Hoc Mon in Ho Chi Minh city since early this month. A supply contract for which the contract price is about 5-10 per cent higher than the price of the sale of mandarin orange at the garden. Under the contract, the commune will supply between 2 and 3 tonnes per day to each wholesale in HCM city.

In Thanh Son commune, the harvest season of mandarin orange is from October to February. The commune now produces several tens of thousands of tonnes of mandarin orange on more than 1000 hectares of land. However, local farmers are always forced to sell their products at the site at lower prices comparing with its normal price in the market due to difficult transportation conditions.
