In recent years, the production of pottery in Dong Nai province has declined. Many pottery manufacturers including greenware manufacturers closed their doors. However, Ngo Quang Man, owner of a greenware factory in Buu Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, who was born with defects in legs, has been in business for 18 years.

His factory is still operating while some greenware factories in the area have suspended their production due to the high cost of production and no orders being placed. Man said he has recently invested more than VND 200 million in purchasing two moulding machines in order to meet increasing orders from customers. Currently, greenware products from his factory supply to 5 pottery companies inside and outside the province.
Until now, although Man faced many challenges and difficulties he still hold on to his business. He started the business in the year 1990 that involved in household scale production. In 2002, he established a factory to make greenware.
With nearly 20 workers, the Quang Man factory can turn out more than 5,000 greenware products monthly, including flowerpots. The factory’s products with good quality and diversified models are made by high skilled workers. Although facing many difficulties because of high input material prices and inflation, Man has made all efforts to get orders to create jobs for his workers. Presently, the factory’s workers has a monthly average salary of around VND2 million.
