(ĐN)- According to information from Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department will cooperate with local authorities in districts to provide training courses for farmers on applying the Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) standards to produce chemical-free vegetables and fruits later this month. The application of GAP standards will raise the sanitary standards of locally grown fruit and vegetales. GAP standards require farmers to undertake a rigorous set of production procedures from seeding all the way through cultivation, harvest and packing. GAP standards also call for a reduction in fertilisers and pesticides.
