(ĐN)- Nguyen Thai Hoc, General Director of the Dong Nai Foods Import and Export Company (Donafoods) said that many dificulties are facing enterprises processing cashew for export. Material cost, labour cost and other expenditure have risen over 40 per cent on average due to the inflation pressures, meanwhile the cashew nut export price has increased by 20% only. Hence, the enterprises make special efforts to maintain stable production and operation.
Hoc also said that costs of packaging and transportation and other costs are higher than that of 2007. Thanks to focused efforts by its staff, Donafoods recorded US$27 million in export turnover in the first seven months of this year, an increase of about 15 percent over the same period last year.
