Viet Nam-France animal feed maker turns joint stock company

(ĐN)- At the press conference on March 10, Chairwoman of the board of directors of Proconco, a Vietnamese-French joint venture specialising in animal feed production, said that the company has completed conversion into a joint-stock company with a charter capital of VND146 billion.

The company’s key investors include Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Donataba), Vietnam National Sea Products Corporation (Seaprodex), Tin Nghia Company, Huu Nghia Company, ISA and Prudential.

 

Vietnamese investors contributed 60 percent of the company’s capital while the remaining came from the Viet Nam Prudential Investment Fund and the Singapore-based Prudential Asset Management.

 

In 2007, Proconco recorded a profit of VND150 billion from sales of almost one million tonnes of animal feed worth around VND5 trillion.

 

This year, Proconco plans to make a profit of VND200 billion and increase its capacity to 1.5 million tonnes of products.
