
(ĐN)- Dong Nai province led the country in attracting FDI capital in the year of 2007 with more than $2.636 billion, reaching 220 percent of the year’s target, an increase of 140 percent in investment capital against the 2006 figure.
(ĐN)- Dong Nai province led the country in attracting FDI capital in the year of 2007 with more than $2.636 billion, reaching 220 percent of the year’s target, an increase of 140 percent in investment capital against the 2006 figure. Of which, the province licensed 131 new FDI projects with a total charter capital of over $1.575 billion and permitted 129 operational projects which added $1.061 billion into their investment. The new projects involving hi-tech industries and the service sector accounted for the largest amount of total investment capital. Particularly, $400 million project to build the Hoa Sen Dai Phuoc urban centre in Nhon Trach district invested by the Vina Dai Phuoc Joint Stock Company, a joint venture between the leading investment management firm VinaCapital Group and the Development Investment-Construction Company (DIC); Nhon Trach new urban area project worth $290 million invested by Teakwang Vina and $20 million Bien Hoa international hospital.
Dong Nai currently houses 889 valid projects totalling $11.645 billion USD, employing more than 350,000 workers.
