(ĐN)- Hung Hiep Formosa Company Ltd will invest $537 million to expand its investment scale in Dong Nai, raising its total investment capital in the province to $1.2 billion. This information was informed by Mr. Hong Fu Yuan, General Director of Formosa, at the working session with the province’s leaders on October 17.
Formosa, until now, poured more than VND691 million into Dong Nai province, said Hong Fu Yuan. Its thermoelectric plant, yarn and plastic factories have been put into operation effectively over the past time. As know, the expanded projects, including synthetic fiber plant with the capacity of 39,000 tons/year and plastic production line that produce 30000 tons of BOPP film annually, will be deployed in the period 2009-2010. Besides, the company, in coming time, will build a waste water treatment plant and invest $329 billion in two polyester factories and 150 MW thermoelectric plant.
