23 enterprises honored with South-Eastern Golden Star Award 2007

(ĐN)- On August 10, a ceremony to present the South-Eastern Golden Star Award to 23 outstanding enterprises was solemnly held at the meeting hall of the Dong Nai Square with the attendance of Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Mrs. Bui Ngoc Thanh, Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mrs. Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The award is a part of the Vietnam Golden Star Award organised by Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Businessmen’s Association. It aims to encourages enterprises to strengthen their trademark and prestige in the market. The annual award, now in its first year, was hosted by Dong Nai Young Business Association.

 

The Southeastern Golden Star Award 2007 attracted the participation of 107 enterprises from Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh provinces. Dong Nai takes the lead with 8 honored enterprises, including Truong Hai Auto Co., Saigon Cable and Telecommunication Materials Co (Sacom), Civil Industrial Construction Company No. 2, Donafoods, Corporation for the Development of Bien Hoa Industrial Zone (Sonadezi), Dong Tien Garment Co., Thanh Binh Co., and Hoa Binh Wood Processing Co. 

 

As known, 23 honored enterprises have a combined investment capital of VND2,700 billion, earned total turnover of more than VND6,700 billion in 2006 and are home to 16,800 laborers.
