Taihan-Sacom Cables J.S Company puts into operation

(ĐN)- Taihan-Sacom Cables Joint Stock Company (TSC) officially became operational at an inauguration ceremony held in Long Thanh Industrial Park on July 16.

(ĐN)- Taihan-Sacom Cables Joint Stock Company (TSC) officially became operational at an inauguration ceremony held in Long Thanh Industrial Park on July 16. Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Phuc Thanh, Government Inspector General Tran Van Truyen, Deputy Minister of Posts and Telematics Nguyen Minh Hong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, and the Republic of Koreas General Consul in HCM City Min Young Woo.

 

The project, a joint venture between the Saigon Cable and Telecommunication Materials Company (SACOM) and the Taihan Electric Wire Company of the Republic of Korea (TAIHAN), has investment capital of almost US$40 million. It covers an area of 15 hectares and expects to attract more than 600 workers. TSC will produce high-voltage power, telecom and optical ground wire (OPGW) cables along with copper and aluminum rods in the first stage. In particular, the company’s insulated electrical wires can transmit the highest voltage allowed in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The company projected 50 percent of its product will be sold on the domestic market, while the rest will be exported. As known, TSC will be able to turn out electromagnetic and marine cables in the second stage.
