(ĐN)- Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot received Shi Huei Huang, President of Taiwanese Chinfon Group on July 2 in Dong Nai.

Chinfon group built in Dong Nai its first factory, the Viet Nam Manufacturing and Export Processing (VMEP) which began production in April of 1993 producing motorbikes. Until now, VMEP has set up a chain of satellite factories in Dong Nai and Ha Tay. In addition, Chinfon Group has built a US$78-million automobile assembly and production plant in the Nhon Trach Industrial Zone. In its more than 15 years of operation, Chinfon has successfully invested in cement manufacturing, motorcycles and banking. In the coming time, Chinfon Group will expand its business activities in the fields of aquaculture and agriculture like projects of breeding shrimp in Nhon Trach district of Dong Nai province and producing fresh vegetables in Cu Chi district of HCM city. Chinfon group has so far pumped a total of about $230 million into projects in Dong Nai province.
At the reception, the provincial leaders highly appreciated Chinfon’s significant development and large number of investment projects in Dong Nai. Accordingly, the leaders hoped that the Group will make further investment in Dong Nai, especially in the fields of service, tourism, health and agriculture. Speaking at the reception, President of Chinfon Group Shi.H.Huang committed that the Group will study the fields in order to make suitable investments in the next time.
On the occasion, the provincial leaders offered investment license to Chinfon Group’s automobile assembly and production project in Nhon Trach district.
