
A new 54-hectare industrial zone has recently established in Tan Phu district, bringing the provinces total IZs to 23 with a combined area of 6,474 ha. Among them, 4 IZs have been fully occupied like Nhon Trach 3 IZ, Bien Hoa IZ, Tam Phuoc IZ and Dinh Quan IZ.
A new 54-hectare industrial zone
has recently established in Tan Phu district, bringing the provinces total IZs to 23 with a combined area of 6,474 ha. Among them, 4 IZs have been fully occupied like Nhon Trach 3 IZ, Bien Hoa IZ, Tam Phuoc IZ and Dinh Quan IZ. All the rentable area of about 61.1 ha has been leased out. In April alone, an additional 5 projects were licensed, including four FDI projects worth $6.15 billion total in registered value and one domestic project worth VND63.21 billion.By 2010, Dong Nai’s industrial zones are expected to reach the number of 32 with a total area of about 11800 hectares.
The province licensed 13 FDI projects with a combined registered capital of more than US$ 77.6 million and lured 2 domestic projects more with a total registered capital of VND 348.705 billion in the first four months of this year. Meanwhile, 25 operating projects were permitted to inject US$ 167.679 to their investment capital, bringing the total FDI capital registered in the province over the past four months to close to US$ 282.3 million.
Dong Nai is so far home to 866 licensed FDI projects by investors from 31 countries and territories around the world with a total registered capital of more than US$ 9.1 billion. Besides, another 122 projects are located outside industrial zones with combined capital of US$805 million.
With a foreign direct investment of nearly US$10 billion, that is a remarkable achievement made by Dong Nai over the past more than 15 years. It is also an important factor that has made major contributions to the industrialisation and modernisation process in the province. Foreign invested enterprises contribute 95% of the provinces total export revenue and 62% of its total industrial output value.
