(ĐN)- Dong Nai Branch of State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) has just held a ceremony to receive the third class Labour Medal with the presentation of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and other representatives.
Speaking at the ceremony, the branch’s leaders said that although the local banks’ total mobilized capital in 2006 increased by 41%, but it has only met over 79% of the demand of capital. Last year, the local commercial banks’ loan turnover reached VND34,678 billion, up 28% compared to 2005.
In 2007, Dong Nai’s bank sector strives to increase its mobilised capital and loan turnover by 20-24%. Accordingly, the sector will invest in projects of infrastructure construction and technological renovation, lend to processing enterprises, export and consumer goods production companies, etc. The State Bank will also improve its role of manegement and supervision in the field of currency and banking operations in order to minimise the mistakes.
