2007: Year for big FDI projects

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai province’s Investment and Planning Department, a series of big foreign direct investment (FDI) projects will be carried out in Dong Nai this year as several large-scale foreign invested projects are awaiting approval, including of a US$625-million gas-fueled power plant project by the US’s Gannon Group. Besides, foreign investors have begun to pump huge FDI projects into Dong Nai province, especially in real estate such as a US$ 300 million new residential area project at Nhon Trach district and a US$ 30 million new residential area project in Bien Hoa city and others. Another steel and metallurgy project by Sun Steel Company has been licensed but currently the investor is awaiting approval to change the investment purpose with the project worth over US$ 1 billion.
