Xuan Loc district has focused on promoting economic growth through industrialization. A promising sign of further development of the district is the increasing number of industrial establishments. A typical example is the first industrial zone in Xuan Loc district developed by Sonadezi. That zone is located nearly 2 km away from Gia Ray townlet and lies close to the national highway No 1. It covers an area of nearly 110 hectares with the total area for lease of over 64 hectares. The leased area is 36,6 hectares, around 50% of the land for lease. Besides, Xuan Loc district is planning to build four concentrated industrial zones. The zones will be Suoi Cat with a total area of 20 hectares, Xuan Hung, 20 hectares, Xuan Hoa, 50 hectares and Xuan Dinh, 30 hectares. It can be said that there will be positive change in the structure of the workforce and the district’s economy will see a strong growth in coming years once the planned industrial zones go into operation. This year, Xuan Loc district strives to increase industrial production value by 24.9%, a 3 per cent year-on-year increase.
Xuan Loc is a mountainous district of Dong Nai province that gives an excellent opportunity to exploit the tourism potential. Take Chua Chan mountain for example, as an attractive tourist destination, it not only has beautiful scenery but also is a safe place to visit. This site records over 100000 annual visitors. It has another name called “Gia Lao mountain” which is located in Xuan Truong commune at a height of 836 meters above sea level. On the mountain, there is a pagoda named Buu Long Tu built quite long time ago. The pagoda which is at a height of 600 metres draws a large number of pilgrims across the country every year. On the top of the mountain, visitors can view the beautiful scenery of Phan Thiet beach and Vung Tau beach.
To further tap tourism potentials of Chua Chan mountain, Xuan Loc district plans to install a cable car system to carry visitors to the top of the mountain. Chua Chan mountain is the most impressive tourist site in Xuan Loc district and it will give an active impetus to the development of tourism industry in the district.
