
(ĐN)- Recently, Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot has worked with departments and related bodies of the province to review implementation of socio-economic development tasks in January and planned main tasks for next month.
According to the report from the Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, many socio-economic targets have been met or over-fulfilled in January. Accordingly, the central state-owned enterprises is estimated to obtain an industrial production value of VND 587.8 billion or 7.9% of the year’s target, up 16.3% compared to the same period of last year. Some industries posted high production value such as beverage and food processing industry, construction material production. However, the production value of some industries like electric equipment production and electricity supply have dropped slightly in the first month of the year.
In January, the local state-owned enterprises registered an industrial production value of VND224 billion, making up 8.2% of the year plan, 28.9% higher than that of previous year. The non-state enterprises earned VND 662.3 billion, or 8.6 % of target 2007, an increase of 20.5% compared with 2006. Meanwhile, the foreign-invested sector posted about VND3,500 billion in industrial production value, reached 8.1% of the target and increased 20.6% against the same period. Eighteen of 25 production branches in Dong Nai records an increase in this month.
In February, the province will focus on to prepare interesting cultural activities for the Lunar New Year 2007. Especially, it will made efforts to prevent bird flu and mouth and foot disease outbreak among residents.
