Ajinomoto Vietnam’s concerns: hygienic and safety for consumers

Ajinomoto Vietnam, a wholly Japanese-invested company, produces monosodium glutamate, seasoning powders, vinegars and Mayonnaise sauces. The most important thing that the company really concerns is hygienic and safety for consumers. The company has invested in advanced technology and equipment to cope with changing market demands, enabling the company to provide high quality products for customers and ensuring the safety and quality of foods. It has passed the three certifications of ISO9001 quality management system, ISO 14000 environment management system and HACCP system. The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system which is science based and systematic is to assess hazards and measures their control to ensure the Safety of Food. Additionally, Ajinomoto Vietnam is planning to implement OHSAS 18000 system of Occupational Health and Safety in its facilities. The company has won the title of Vietnamese High-Quality Goods for many consecutive years and received prestigious Golden Dragon Award in 2005.

In the other hand, the company is also paying particular attention to the nutritional quality of employees’ meals and offers a balanced choice with lots of favourite foods. The company has carried out measurements to provide quality nutritious and safe meals for its employees in clean and safe environment. Thus, a case of food poisoning has not yet occurred. During the past years, Ajinomoto has not only guaranteed quality and food hygiene and safety for customers but also implemented the measures to protect worker’s health and life in the workplace. Thanks to that, the company has maintained stable production while the company’s business has generated profits.

Ajinomoto Vietnam is also very active in social activities such as offering scholarships to outstanding poor students, donating money to help the poor, disabled and blind people; funding cultural projects in Dong Nai and other provinces.
