(ĐN)- According to moon cake producers, there will be more than 5,000 tones of moon cakes produced and distributed to HCM city and the provinces in the area this year. Of which, Kinh Do accounts for about one third of the total output, the rest is divided among Bibica, Vinabico, Dong Khanh, Thanh Long and others.

Despite the fact that the price of materials used to make moon cakes rose 20-30%, the producers increased the price of their products by only 7-10% compared with that of last year. Besides, they increased production output and expanded their share market. Particularly, Bibica has invested over VND 4 billion to upgrade its production assembly line and apply international food hygiene standards. General Director of Bibica Hoang Tho Vinh said that Bibica is a unique company that took the tests for food nutrition recognized by the Health Ministry’s Food Hygiene and Safety Department. This year, Bibica not only produce the traditional moon cakes with a low sugar content to ensure consumer health and safety but also launch the moon cake that is made using isomalt and is suitable for obese and diabetic people.
