The southern province of Dong Nai earned more than 2.3 billion USD from exports in the first seven months of 2006, an annual increase of 33.8 percent.

Foreign-invested enterprises contributed 2.1 billion USD, up 34 percent over the same period last year.
Central and locally-run businesses posted increases of 34 percent and 24 percent in export turnover, respectively.
The provinces export staples included coffee, cashew nuts, footwear, wood furniture and garments.
In the period under review, businesses in the Dong Nai province imported 2.7 billion USD worth of products, an annual increase of 14.5 percent. Of that amount, 2.6 billion USD worth of machinery, equipment and materials was imported by local foreign-invested enterprises.
