VND 1,920 billion required for boosting socioeconomic development in Cam My district for 2006-2010

(ĐN) – Cam My district in its Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2006-2010 and Direction towards the year 2020 registers an average annual growth rate of 11%.

(ĐN) – Cam My district in its Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2006-2010 and Direction towards the year 2020 registers an average annual growth rate of 11%. Therefore, the district expects to spend VND 1,920 billion to foster its socio and economic development aiming to achieve the above target. In the next five years, agriculture will still account for roughly 60% of Cam Mys GDP. Accordingly, the district will accelerate the speed of shifting agricultural production and rural economic structure in the orientation of quality and effective agricultural production in order to record average year-on-year increase of 6.2%. Besides, the district will strive to raise industrial production value with an average annual growth rate of 21.4%. New industrial areas have been identified for development in the district in upcoming years such as Long Giao with its total area of 56 hectares, Bao Binh of 30 hectares, Song Ray of 30 hectares (Xuan Tay Commune), Go Dau of 50 hectares (Xuan Dong Commune).

To enhance socioeconomic development and raise living standards in Cam May district, the government of the district of Cam My will increase its focus on infrastructure investment such as roads, the electric power grid, water supply and drainage system. Especially, new residential development will focus on Hang Gon – Long Giao and Song Ray.
