Vietnam calls for more Japanese investment

Deputy Minister of Trade Luong Van Tu has highlighted the favorable conditions of the business and investment environment in Vietnam and called for Japanese enterprises to intensify their investment and business activities in the country

Deputy Minister of Trade Luong Van Tu has highlighted the favorable conditions of the business and investment environment in Vietnam and called for Japanese enterprises to intensify their investment and business activities in the country.

 

Speaking at a recent seminar on trade and investment in the Mekong River Delta held in Japan, Mr Tu asked Japan to increase support for Vietnam and ASEAN nations in the sub-Mekong region through programmes to develop product patterns, organise a Vietnam Week in Japan, Japan Week in Vietnam and establish a Vietnam-Japan business forum.

 At the seminar, Japan businesses also voiced their support for Vietnam’s bid to join the World Trade Organisation (WTO) soon.
