(ĐN) - Dong Tien’s turnover in the first 8 months of 2005 hit over 120 billion VND, 10 billion VND higher than the same time in 2004. However, its profits were equal to those of the same period last year due to higher production cost. Accordingly, the company invested more 500 million VND in upgrading its boiler system that enabled it to reach its goal of achieving a cost reduction and increased revenue. Dong Tien has made boiler system upgrades which were being utilized to fire coal in place of oil fuel. Burning upgraded coal reduced the cost of maintaining boiler system and increased combustion efficiency. This enhanced economic improvement as an indirect means of reducing fuel-related costs. These resulted in cost savings totaling 1.1 billion per year. This benefits both the company and its employees.
