Southern Fertilizer Company inaugurates new acid workshop

(ĐN) - In the morning of August 19, the Southern Fertilizer Company inaugurated new acid workshop capable of turning out 40,000 tonnes a year at Long Thanh Super Phosphate Company which was one of its subsidiaries. To date, two acid workshops were already set up at Long Thanh Super Phosphate Company situated in Go Dau Industrial Park. The company’s capacity stood at 80,000 tonnes of acid per year. The new acid workshop was installed with the most advanced production line under Vietnam ’s Chemical Engineering Consultant with total cost of US$ 235,000. This was cheaper 47% than foreign consultants. Acid produced by the new workshop would be sold at a 20 per cent lower than imported one. After 2-month trial run, the new acid workshop achieved 115 tonnes per day, hit 96% of its designed capacity. Accordingly, the company gained its profit of 1.5 billion VND.

Launching the new acid workshop benefits the company to reach its annual output target of 200,000 tonnes of super-phosphate fertilizer. Besides, the new workshop is designed to aim at serving manufacturing industries such as sodium glutamate, alum etc.
