(ĐN)- This statement was made by the Deputy Head of the Central Economy Board Cao Si Kiem at the working session being held in the morning of August 26 between him and leaders of local government together with related organizations in the province. During Kiem’s visit to Dong Nai, he investigated preparation work of Dong Nai for integrating into international economy.
Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Thi Kim Nguyen said as a Head of the Provincial International Economic Cooperation Board: "By the end of 1999, Dong Nai established International Economic Cooperation Board which included 18 members from related departments and organizations throughout the province. The board has made out plans which would enable Dong Nai to be ready for joining world economy. Its members divided into 8 groups that would provide assistance for enterprises and entrepreneurs with the following methods of promotion: investing more in key industries to aim to raise competitiveness of products in the market, increasing managing abilities of entrepreneurs, developing skilled and qualified work force and at the same time, propagandizing and popularizing the international economic integration, foreign policy and economic and political security"
"The province takes full advantage of the provincial potentials and competition between the provinces for developing the economy and the society. Besides, Dong Nai also enhances international economic cooperation with its twin provinces in some foreign countries. The province would hold the initiative in integrating into international trading system and make good use of international support. To date, the provincial economy has changed basically and entirely according to industrialization and modernization tendency. Especially, the capacities of industry – construction, services and agriculture-forest-aquaculture made up 57%, 28% and 15%. The annual average growth of the economy in Dong Nai achieved 17.4% in the period 2001-2005." added she.
In the afternoon at the same day, the delegation of the Central Economy Board paid a visit to Dong Nai Garment Holding Company situated at Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park.
