
Chinese businesses’ demand for Viet Nam’s fresh seafoods has been increasing in recent days, according to the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).

Last week, seafood exports to
China
through the Mong Cai bordergate increased by 16.4 percent over the previous week. Exports of semi-processed aquatic products to Guangxi and
Yunnan
are tending to rise to an output of about 100 tonnes per week. It is expected the Chinese market will continue to show high demand for Vietnamese seafoods in August and September.
Also according to VASEP, many Chinese businesses and traders have registered to import aquatic products and seafoods from
Viet Nam
. Outlets have been expanded to northern Chinese provinces such as
Henan
,
Hebei
and
Liaoning
provinces.
