(ĐN) – The value of Dong Nai’s total retail sales rose 27% to hit 7,606 billion VND in the first half of this year compared with the same period of 2004. This was followed by volume of retail trade up by 26.7% to stand at 6,331 billion VND; hotel and restaurant business with a sales increased by 574 billion VND or approximately 28%; catering service sector with total retail sales of 696.9 billion VND, up 29.2%; travel agencies sales increased by 15% to 3.6 billion VND. In the same time, the non-state economic sector contributed most to retail sales growth of the province with a total value of 6,123 billion VND, rose by 27.5%. Despite high prices of petrol, diesel, gas and building materials, sales of these sectors were still strong.
