Donafoods Thai Binh joint-ventured between Dong Nai and Australian partner to launch in October

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Product Company (DONAFOODS) and Australian MWT Foods jointly invested 20 billion VND in the initial investment capital to set up a joint venture named DonafoodsThai Binh.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Product Company (DONAFOODS) and Australian MWT Foods jointly invested 20 billion VND in the initial investment capital to set up a joint venture named DonafoodsThai Binh. It started construction work last week in Cau Nghin Industrial Park , Thai Binh province and has a built area of 15,000 square meters. The new factory will be installed with the latest high tech machineries in accordance with European standards. Accordingly, a food hygiene and safety criteria is also going to be ensured to achieve standards of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Capacity of the factory stands at 5,000 tons products per year and total annual export value reaches US$ 25-30 million. The new factory will create jobs for 2,500- 3,000 people. Besides, Donafoods Thai Binh will also provide capitals for local people in growing of the following plants: potato, chili, fruit and vegetables etc. in order to supply materials to processing factory for export. The factory is expected to launch officially in October, 2005.

The charmain of the Provincial Peoples’ Committee approved Donafoods operating with the application of parent company and subsidiaries model as of June 29, 2005 with the charter capital of 57 billion VND. At present, the following subsidiaries were formally merged with the parent Donafoods namely Donafoods Thai Binh Company, Long Khanh and Tan Phu Cashew nuts Processing Shareholding Company, Long Duc Investment Shareholding Company, Tho Vuc One-Member Limited Liability Company, Viet Thanh Pottery Shareholding Company, and Rubber Industry One-Member Limited Liability Company.
