The open letter reads in part: Upholding traditions of solidarity, compassion, and affection, authorities at all levels, sectors, the business community, organizations, individuals, and the public have made concerted efforts over the years, contributing substantially to caring for the poor and the disadvantaged across the city. However, there are still some underprivileged households and vulnerable individuals who need attention and assistance to stabilize their lives and achieve sustainable poverty reduction.
In response to the “For the Poor” Peak Month in 2026 themed “Great Unity – spreading national compassion and solidarity,” the Standing Board of the Dong Nai VFF Committee respectfully calls on agencies, units, organizations, businesses, religious organizations, philanthropists, Dong Nai natives, and all residents to uphold the tradition of mutual support and compassion and join hands to support the city’s “For the Poor” Fund.
Contributions will help build and repair “Great Solidarity” houses, support livelihoods, boost production, improve living standards, and empower poor and vulnerable people to overcome hardship.
The Standing Board of the Dong Nai VFF Committee pledges to receive, manage, and use contributions for their intended purposes and eligible beneficiaries in accordance with regulations, ensuring transparency, openness, practicality, and efficiency.
In a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and compassion for the community, the Standing Board of the Dong Nai VFF Committee sincerely hopes to receive the attention, active response, and continued partnership of agencies, units, organizations, individuals, and people from all walks of life in joining hands to care for the poor, thereby helping build Dong Nai into an increasingly civilized, modern, and compassionate city.
Contributions may be sent to either the Fundraising Board for the “For the Poor” Fund of Dong Nai City via account number: 8671666666, at Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Bien Hoa Branch, Tran Bien Transaction Office; or Dong Nai VFF Committee (Fundraising Board for the “For the Poor” Fund), via account number: 3761.0.9044739.91046, at State Treasury Region XVII. The collection period runs through December 31, 2026.
Immediately after the launch, cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the Party Committee of the Dong Nai Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee Agency, along with the Party Committee of the City VFF and mass organizations made voluntary donations directly to the “For the Poor” Fund, which totaled more than VND8 million.
Nguyen Tan Phu, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai VFF Committee, thanked each VFF officer for their contribution. He also expressed hope that the committee would continue to receive generous support of people from all walks of life in the coming period to help provide shelter, bring joy, and make positive changes in the lives of the poor.
