Youth projects and tasks not only leave their mark on the community but also help affirm the role and responsibility of Youth Union members and young people in carrying out local development tasks.

Numerous community-oriented projects and tasks

The Trang Dai Ward Youth Union has recently launched the project "Colors of Youth – Contributing to the Development of a Civilized Urban Area." Vice Chairwoman of the ward's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Trang Dai Ward Youth Union Tran Thi Tham said that to implement the project, Youth Union members and young people in the ward began mobilizing on August 4 to scrape off and remove advertisements and unauthorized postings, clean and paint utility poles, and sketch and color details on them.

Over 14 days of implementation, with a strong sense of responsibility and creativity, Youth Union members and young people in Trang Dai Ward decorated more than 200 utility poles along both sides of the road with paintings. The project not only helped refurbish the poles and give them a new look but also raised public awareness of environmental protection and the building of a civilized lifestyle. At the same time, the project provided an opportunity for Youth Union members and young people to harness their youth power and uphold their pioneering and voluntary spirit, joining hands to put the spirit of the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign into practice.

In addition to the proactive efforts of the commune and ward Youth Unions, the City Youth Union has been implementing several youth projects and tasks since the launch of the special emulation campaign.

Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Hieu Trung said that the City Youth Union has recently completed the "Smart Road" project, approximately 1.2 km long, on an inter-village road in Group 1, Tan Loc Village, Tan Tien Commune. The road is equipped with 35 lighting poles, an AI-powered security camera system, national flags, and other facilities, contributing to ensuring security and safety, improving the landscape, and enhancing residents' quality of life.

Furthermore, the City Youth Union has completed the “Digital Gratitude Map for Heroic Vietnamese Mothers” and restored photos of martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and people with meritorious services. At the same time, the City Youth Union is researching the development of a digital solution to manage the source-segregated solid waste model, while also developing a project to establish a youth innovation and startup center.

Continuing to spread the special emulation campaign

In late May 2026, the City Youth Union launched the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign throughout the city's Youth Unions, Students’ Associations, and Young Pioneers’ organizations. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Minh Kien said that the emulation campaign is not only a revolutionary action movement but also a widespread political activity, serving as a test of the sense of responsibility, organizational capacity, and determination to overcome difficulties among Youth Union officials, Youth Union members and young people across the city.

Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Hieu Trung added that nearly three months after launching and implementing the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the City Youth Union conducted an initial assessment. The assessment demonstrates the proactive role of Youth Union organizations, Youth Union members, and young people in carrying out activities in response to the campaign.

Clear evidence of the campaign's success is that the projects and tasks set out under the special emulation campaign are basically being implemented on schedule by Youth Union organizations. All the projects and tasks deliver practical benefits to the community and the people, especially those in remote, border, and difficult areas.

A notable feature of the implementation of the special emulation campaign is that, based on practical requirements at the grassroots level, many new projects and tasks have been proactively proposed and implemented by Youth Union organizations, Youth Union members, and young people. In addition to the items registered from the outset, subordinate Youth Union branches have also flexibly added tasks suited to local conditions, thereby making the campaign more diverse and expanding its reach.

In the coming time, the City Youth Union will continue to organize conferences and inspection activities to grasp the situation at the grassroots level to assess progress, promptly resolve difficulties, and provide guidance on task implementation, contributing to the widespread promotion of the special emulation campaign throughout Youth Unions, Students’ Associations, and Young Pioneers’ organizations.

At the same time, the City Youth Union will review and add new projects and tasks that meet practical needs and are associated with socio-economic development tasks, digital transformation, and the city's double-digit growth target. Through these efforts, it will continue to promote the youthful strength, pioneering spirit, and creativity of Youth Union members and young people, thereby contributing to the building of an increasingly civilized and modern Dong Nai.

Youth Union organizations have not only translated the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign into concrete projects and tasks but, more importantly, have also helped raise awareness, foster responsibility, and inspire a spirit of dedication among Youth Union members and young people.
