Work begins on construction and renovation of 16 “Great Solidarity” houses in Bu Gia Map Commune

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Gia Map Commune, in coordination with the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the Dong Nai City Military Command, and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam–Cambodia Friendship Association, held a ceremony on August 20 to launch the construction and renovation of 16 “Great Solidarity” houses for poor, near-poor, and housing-insecure households in the commune.

Of the 16 “Great Solidarity” houses being built or renovated in this phase, six are newly constructed and eight are renovated with funding from Dong Nai City’s Fund for the Poor. The remaining two are newly constructed with funding from the City Military Command, the Dong Nai Youth Union, and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam–Cambodia Friendship Association.

Under the motto "Leave no one behind," the construction and renovation of the “Great Solidarity” houses helps poor, near-poor, and housing-insecure households secure stable housing, enabling them to focus on work and improve their quality of life. The initiative not only demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and mutual support through the mobilization of resources to care for the people's well-being but also contributes effectively to local social welfare and poverty reduction efforts.

The event also serves as a practical celebration of the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2026) and National Day on September 2. It is also in response to the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed "Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai."
