At 11 p.m. on August 2, Dong Nai Power Company, in coordination with relevant agencies, successfully energized and officially put into operation the Phuoc Tan 110kV Substation and its associated transmission line.
Construction of the project began in late March 2026 with a total investment of VND118 billion. The facility was completed after more than four months of construction and commissioned on schedule.

Located in Phuoc Tan Ward, the substation operates at a voltage level of 110/22kV. In its initial phase, the project includes the installation of a 63MVA transformer and a 2.3-kilometer 110kV transmission line. It is designed as an unmanned substation, integrating control, monitoring and automation systems.
Phuoc Tan and the southern part of Dong Nai City are seeing rapid development in industry, urbanization, and logistics infrastructure, driving electricity demand higher each year.
The commissioning of the Phuoc Tan 110kV Substation and its connecting transmission line will provide a direct power source for the area, ease the load on existing substations, and shorten the service radius of the medium-voltage distribution network. The project is expected to reduce power losses, improve voltage quality, and enhance the reliability and stability of the electricity supply.

Beyond meeting immediate electricity demand, the project is expected to strengthen the region's capacity to attract investment, support industrial expansion, and facilitate future urban development.
The Phuoc Tan 110kV Substation is the ninth of 10 110kV projects that Dong Nai Power Company plans to complete in 2026.
