Information, education and mass mobilization work: Igniting aspirations for development

With its strategic transport infrastructure, particularly Long Thanh International Airport, a network of seaports and large-scale industrial parks, along with its position as a gateway connecting the Southeast region with the Central Highlands and the world, Dong Nai is expected to become a new growth pole for Vietnam.

On this journey, information, education and mass mobilization work must "take the lead and pave the way" in providing ideological orientation and inspiring the aspirations to contribute among people from all walks of life.

Ideological orientation

To capitalize on Dong Nai's advantages, the Resolution of the 1st Provincial (now Municipal) Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term and Action Program No. 11–CTr/TU, dated March 12, 2026, of the Provincial Party Committee (now Municipal Party Committee) have clearly set the goal of building Dong Nai into a civilized, modern city with rapid and sustainable development, taking the lead in high-tech industry, the aviation economy, logistics, the digital economy, innovation, and digital transformation.

Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee (CPC)’s Standing Board and Head of the CPC's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization (CIEMM), said that in recent times, Dong Nai's information, education and mass mobilization work has fulfilled its role of "taking the lead and paving the way" in providing ideological guidance, fostering development, connecting and mobilizing the strength of the entire society, and contributing to Dong Nai's increasingly robust development.

Communication activities have been carried out in diverse and extensive forms. Through these efforts, the people have gained a clear understanding of guidelines and policies, as well as the significance of the development goals of building Dong Nai City and achieving double-digit growth. This has helped foster a widespread aspiration for development among all segments of the population.

After Dong Nai became a city, the CPC's CIEMM advised the CPC to organize a broad-based political education campaign in conjunction with the epic art program "Dong Nai – Southern spirit, rising with the nation," recreating nearly 330 years of the formation and development of the Dong Nai region; initiated research and compilation of the History of the Dong Nai City Party Organization (1929–2027); and advised on research and a proposal to designate a Traditional Day for Dong Nai City. These activities contribute to consolidating the spiritual foundation of society, fostering trust, igniting aspirations, and creating important endogenous resources for building a "Civilized – Modern – Happy" Dong Nai City in the new phase.

Igniting aspirations for development

Le Thi Thai, Member of the CPC, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the CIEMM, said that to continue making significant contributions to Dong Nai's development, the Party Committee of the CIEMM recently organized a thematic study session for the second quarter of 2026 to raise awareness and strengthen the determination of officials and Party members in carrying out political tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Dong Nai City Party Congress and the double-digit growth goal for the 2026–2030 period.

At the meeting, Party members of the CPC's CIEMM Party Committee offered many heartfelt opinions. According to Phan Duy Khiem, Party Committee member, Party Cell Secretary, and Head of the Information and General Affairs Department of the CPC's CIEMM, achieving the double-digit growth target requires information, education and mass mobilization work to truly lead in awareness, go hand in hand with action, and follow through with summation and dissemination. Information, education and mass mobilization officials need to shift from "ideological work" to "development work," from "communication" to "creating social momentum," and from "mobilization" to "guiding consensus."

At the second-quarter 2026 thematic study session of the Party Committee of the CPC’s CIEMM, the opinions expressed by Party members in the unit all demonstrated their determination and willingness to devote themselves to Dong Nai's common development goal. This is also the shared spirit of officials and Party members within the Dong Nai Party Committee and the city's entire population.

Furthermore, information and education work must proactively combat conservative and stagnant thinking, the risk-averse mentality, avoidance of responsibility, and fear of innovation; inspire the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility for the common good; and build a culture of innovation throughout society.

When the people are united in consensus, businesses have confidence, and the entire political system is determined to act, the double-digit growth target will not only be feasible but will become a reality.

According to Party member Nguyen Truong Luat, Deputy Head of the Mass Organizations Division of the CPC’s CIEMM, every official and Party member in the information, education and mass mobilization sector must possess breakthrough thinking, strategic vision, and a high sense of responsibility. Every individual action, as well as the implementation of each unit's tasks, must make a practical contribution to the city's double-digit growth goal. Information, education and mass mobilization work must not be separated from growth but must serve as its foundation. Each project or professional plan of the unit must answer the question: How does this initiative contribute to the city's 10–12% growth target?

The information, education and mass mobilization sector must take the lead in digital transformation, regarding it as a "lever" for carrying out tasks. Mass mobilization work in the digital era should not stop at traditional methods but must regard technology as the key breakthrough, with mass mobilization data digitized and an integrated data management system covering associations and mass-organization members. The application of big data will help accurately analyze the needs and sentiments of the people, thereby enabling advice on timely support policies instead of relying on subjective experience.

It is essential to focus on policy communication and proactively guide public opinion, create a high level of social consensus on key projects, and prevent ideological “bottlenecks” from hindering economic development.

The significant contributions of information, education and mass mobilization work in recent times demonstrate that every step forward for the locality is linked to ideological unity, the people's consensus, and the strength of the great national unity bloc. In this new stage of development, as the city aspires to achieve double-digit growth and strives to become a dynamic development hub of the entire country, the role of information, education and mass mobilization work becomes even more crucial.
