In line with the Dong Nai City People's Committee's 2026 plan for investment, trade and tourism promotion, business support and event organization, the Dong Nai Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center (ITTP Center) has launched a number of activities since early this year to strengthen connectivity and promote the city's tourism potential.

In response to the need for tourism products that meet the demands of domestic and international visitors, particularly international cruise passengers who typically stay for only 8-10 hours, the ITTP Center has conducted surveys and worked with localities and businesses to develop distinctive tourism products for visitors arriving by sea.
The center is also proactively seeking and developing new tourism products to capitalize on domestic and international visitor flows once Long Thanh International Airport is scheduled to become operational at the end of 2026.
Striving to achieve tourism targets
In 2026, Dong Nai aims to welcome around 5.8 million tourist arrivals, with the tourism sector targeted to grow by 11.5% compared with 2025. Tourism service revenue is expected to reach approximately VND4.5 trillion, up more than 15% year on year. The city also aims to increase visitor spending and extend tourists' length of stay.
To achieve these targets, the ITTP Center, together with relevant agencies and departments, has been proactively strengthening connectivity, promoting Dong Nai tourism and developing new tourism products.
Tran Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Director in charge of the ITTP Center, said the center's recent surveys and connectivity activities were aimed at promoting the city's tourism potential, strengths and distinctive tourism products.
In July 2026, in particular, the center surveyed conditions for developing cruise tourism at Phuoc An Port, assessing the port's capacity to accommodate cruise ships and provide services for passengers.
The survey covered tourism sites and destinations, historical and cultural sites, traditional craft villages and other distinctive tourism products across Dong Nai. The findings will help assess the potential to develop, refine and implement tourism programs for both domestic and international visitors.
Boosting connectivity and cooperation for tourism development
With the aim of improving investment attraction and strengthening trade and business links both nationwide and internationally, the Dong Nai People's Committee drew up a plan at the beginning of 2026 to organize events and activities to support businesses and investors and promote tourism development.
Under the 2026 plan of the municipal People’s Committee, the tourism sector is expected to step up cooperation with provinces and cities nationwide, share management experience, strengthen promotion and connect tourism routes among localities. Dong Nai will also expand cooperation with provinces and cities in southern Vietnam and other localities nationwide to capitalize on their potential and strengths and mobilize opportunities and resources for tourism development in the city.
Alongside developing tourism products, Dong Nai is strengthening coordination with media organizations both inside and outside the city to promote its image, destinations and tourism products in line with the city's tourism development strategy. New information on Dong Nai tourism is also being regularly updated in promotional publications to ensure that businesses and domestic and international visitors receive timely information.
According to Trang, in 2026, the ITTP Center will organize and participate in major cultural, sports and tourism events at both regional and national levels. These include international tourism trade fairs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, the National Tourism Year and other tourism events.
In particular, the ITTP Center is organizing a photography contest featuring beautiful images of Dong Nai to promote the distinctive landscapes and people of the city to domestic and international visitors.
In addition to promoting local tourism, the ITTP Center is organizing familiarization trips for tourism businesses and media organizations from inside and outside the city to explore destinations in Dong Nai. It is also connecting with provinces and cities nationwide to develop tourism products.
Dong Nai is also actively promoting its tourism offerings through international media channels to attract more visitors and contribute to achieving the sector's growth targets.
