During the meeting, Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the City Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Royal Caribbean Group executives discussed ways to maximize tourism opportunities associated with cruise ships calling at Phuoc An Port.

The session focused on exploring the locality's tourism potential, signature products, and specific services that can be provided to international tourists within a short timeframe (same-day excursions) after the ships dock, enabling them to go sightseeing, enjoy local cuisine, or partake in signature cultural experiences.

Le Thi Ngoc Loan stated that the department will acknowledge the information, feedback, and proposals from Royal Caribbean Group to report to and advise the City People's Committee leaders on cruise-welcoming plans. This would also involve developing tourism products and services in the vicinity of Phuoc An Port at the earliest opportunity to meet tourists' needs during their stay in Dong Nai City.

Royal Caribbean Group is a leader in the vacation industry and currently owns three global cruise brands: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises.

Since March 2026, Royal Caribbean Group has officially deployed large-scale cruise ships to dock at Dong Nai City's Phuoc An Port, with each voyage carrying approximately 3,000 tourists and crew members. This makes RCG the pioneering cruise line to access Dong Nai by sea. By the end of 2026, Royal Caribbean Group expects to have about 7 cruise arrivals at Phuoc An Port and will continue to increase the number of voyages in the period ahead.
