Dong Nai disseminates new regulations on rooftop solar power development

The Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with relevant agencies, held a seminar on July 31 to disseminate legal knowledge on energy conservation and efficient energy use, as well as the development of rooftop solar power for households and government office buildings in 2026.

The seminar was organized to disseminate knowledge and new regulations on the development of renewable energy and rooftop solar power. It also provided businesses with information to strengthen the application of energy management models, implement energy-saving solutions in production activities to improve energy efficiency, and make use of renewable and clean energy sources. The development of rooftop solar power systems for self-production and self-consumption, combined with appropriate energy storage solutions, will also supplement on-site power supplies, enhance the flexibility of the power system, and contribute to ensuring energy security.

At the seminar, representatives of agencies and businesses heard experts from the Electricity Authority of Vietnam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade introduce regulations on rooftop solar power development in accordance with the Government's Decree No. 243/2026/ND-CP dated June 26, 2026. Representatives of energy conservation consulting firms also presented topics on renewable energy transition and energy efficiency optimization, helping businesses proactively adapt to global green standards. The seminar further introduced solutions for the efficient and economical use of natural resources and energy, emission reduction in industry, energy storage technologies and smart power management, as well as compressed air system optimization solutions and Energy Service Companies (ESCO) investment mechanisms to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
