Construction output of Component Project 3 of HCMC’s Ring Road 3 reaches nearly 80% of contract value

According to the Dong Nai City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, construction output under the contract packages of Component Project 3 of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)’s Ring Road 3, which passes through Dong Nai, has reached approximately 80% of the signed contract value to date.

At the project site, contractors are mobilizing personnel and machinery to accelerate construction, with efforts focused on completing the remaining items to ensure the project is finished as planned. Construction is being carried out simultaneously on multiple fronts along the route. Machinery is operating continuously, while workers are working urgently to complete individual components, from the road surface and intersections to auxiliary structures.

Under the plan, Dong Nai aims to complete the entire Component Project 3 of HCMC’s Ring Road 3 and put it into synchronized operation in October 2026. In July 2026, one of the project's biggest obstacles, the remaining site clearance issue at the intersection with Huong Lo 19, was resolved. Households in the area agreed to allow the contractor to proceed with construction. This has created favorable conditions for accelerating construction during the project's final stage.

Component Project 3 of HCMC’s Ring Road 3 stretches more than 11 km, beginning at the intersection with the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway and ending at abutment B of the Nhon Trach Bridge. The project has a total investment of nearly 2.6 trillion VND. It is the first section of HCMC’s Ring Road 3. Once operational, the road will provide an additional traffic artery connecting the Nhon Trach area with the expressway system and key routes, shortening travel times and increasing traffic capacity between HCMC, Dong Nai, and the Mekong Delta provinces.

In addition to addressing traffic connectivity issues, the route is expected to expand space for urban, industrial, and service development in the eastern area of HCMC, while creating more room for the effective exploitation of the inter-regional transport infrastructure system and providing convenient connections to Long Thanh International Airport.
