Dong Nai City’s leadership delegation visits and presents gifts to revolution contributors and martyrs’ families

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947–2026), a delegation from the Dong Nai City Party Committee (CPC), the City People's Council, the City People's Committee, and the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts on July 22 to individuals who rendered meritorious service to the revolution and martyrs’ families in Dong Nai City. The delegation was headed by Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Head of the CPC's Organization Commission.

The delegation also included Tran Van Mi, Member of the CPC and Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Ho Van Ha, Member of the CPC and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; together with leaders of departments, sectors, and localities.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Ra, born in 1932 and a native of Long Thanh Ward, Dong Nai City. She had two sons who were martyrs, Tran Van Doan and Tran Van Hung. During the resistance war against U.S. imperialists, she actively participated in patriotic movements and sheltered cadres engaged in revolutionary activities. She was awarded the noble title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother by the State President under Decision No. 2392/QD-CTN, dated September 26, 2014, in recognition of her significant contributions and sacrifices to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Hieu, born in 1927 and residing in Long Thanh Ward, Dong Nai City. She had two sons who were martyrs: Phan Van Nhon, who sacrificed his life in 1970, and Phan Van Nghia, who sacrificed his life in 1965. She was awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother under Decision No. 2392/QD-CTN, dated September 26, 2014.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Diem, born in 1925 and residing in Phuoc Thai Commune, Dong Nai City. She had two children who were martyrs: Nguyen Kien, who sacrificed his life in 1969, and Nguyen Thi Ly, who sacrificed her life in 1967. She was awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother under Decision No. 2392/QD-CTN, dated September 26, 2014.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to pre-uprising cadre Do Hong Giang, born in 1928 and residing in Nhon Trach Ward. He participated in revolutionary activities from March 1945 until before the August Revolution General Uprising of 1945. From August 1945 to March 1979, he served in various agencies and units.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Hero of the People's Armed Forces Luong Van Xuan, born in 1959, a resident of Long Phuoc Commune. Xuan joined the army in early 1978, and after completing training, he served in the Division 7 of Corps 4 to defend the country's southwestern border. During more than five years of combat while assisting the neighboring country, he participated in numerous life-and-death battles, recorded many outstanding achievements, and was admitted to the Vietnam Communist Party while serving on the battlefield. In recognition of his exceptionally outstanding achievements, he was conferred the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and the State in March 1981.

On the occasion, the delegation from the Dong Nai CPC, the City People's Council, the City People's Committee, and the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee entrusted a gift to the Phuoc An Commune People's Committee for presentation to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi No, born in 1935, as she is currently in poor health.

At each location, on behalf of the city's leadership, Thai Bao and members of the delegation extended their warm regards, warmly inquired about the recipients' health, and expressed profound gratitude for the tremendous sacrifices and contributions made by the heroic Vietnamese mothers, pre-uprising cadres, and heroes of the people's armed forces. Their sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation are noble manifestations of patriotism and indomitable revolutionary heroism that are deeply cherished by present and future generations who remain profoundly grateful for them.

The delegation wished the heroic Vietnamese mothers, pre-uprising cadres, and heroes of the people's armed forces good health and happiness, expressing the hope that they would continue to serve as a strong source of spiritual support for their descendants and families while sharing their valuable experience and closely following the development of their homeland and the country.
